I had an excellent experience. As an international patient time was of essence for me. I had all the necessary investigations done on the same day I arrived at the hospital, and the operation was done as per schedule. My procedure was laparoscopic sleeve gastectomy. The post op pain was minimal, by day 1 post op I could walk and move around easily, day 3 I gave myself a proper shower, by day 5 I went to the Bazaar and at the Indian National Arts for shopping. Within one week, I had lost a significant amount of weight already. About the staff at PSRI, everyone of them was doing a good job, from the International correspondent people who arranged everything from taxi from and to the airport, with attention to details eg sim cards etc. To the nurses and the porters who were all kind and smiling, to my doctors Dr.Sumeet Shah and Dr.Aamri who are down to earth and professional , they made I thought was going to be tough, way easier. I can just summarise by saying, they exceeded my expectations.

I was suffering from excess body weight and deep snoring problem. The doctor told me that it is a medical problem called Sleep Apnea due to Obesity. Dr Sumeet Shah did my Bariatric (weight loss) Surgery. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have felt very supported through the whole process. They say that removing Gall Bladder is a painless surgery. But I won't lie.. it isn't . Dr. Sumeet Shah has been God sent. From the initial consultation till the last day, he did set up the right expectations. As he said "it's not a miracle, ofcourse it will pain" .. " but it shall go within 2days " and IT DID. A big thanks to Dr. Sumeet Shah, he’s the most polite and informative doctor I came across. My mom was facing a lot infections sometimes intestinal or sometimes seasonal (as prescribed by other doctors) Each and every doctor thought she’s having common infection or acidity all this long. Out of emergency we went to SCI Hospital, Dr. Sumeet Shah on the one go understood what the problem could be. And it’s Gallbladder stone. In my mom’s case, it was stuck on gallbladder opening (the neck of gallbladder) which was blocking the bile juice, and eventually it could’ve turned into pus. Dr.Shah is best in his work. With 20+ years of experience and innumerous surgeries till now. But honestly we tried other hospitals too, *pollo, m*x and more. But what I found nobody was interested to know the severity of the case but was more interested to sell the treatment plan and cost. Lastly, Dr.Shah’s only concern I saw through his words, was to get treated asap before it becomes an emergency case. He’s such a kind-hearted talented doctor, a doctor to whom you can go and you’ll already start feeling a little better. After surgery he always made sure that my is doing fine. My last 2 advices: 1. I was very apprehensive of post surgery uncomfort..as in my last ankle surgery I could not eat much for many days n I was vomiting too. Very good doctor. My case got very complicated. It was the case of reoccurrence of inguinal hernia, obviously not easy to do. Anyways, got his contact through my cousin, went to him, got consultation and after being satsified with the discussion we went for the surgery. He performed the surgery quite successfully. I am very much satisfied with him. And other good thing is he is quite friendly and very open to talk.
